The Brighton Philatelic Society Library is regarded as one of the most significant philatelic research libraries in Australia and curated by our Librarian Ray Price. Members are invited to borrow books for one month, with a possible extension for another month (subject to prior agreement).

A catalogue for our library is available for viewing/download here:

Next time you are at BriPhilHouse, take a look at the books available for loan. Ask a committee member for assistance if you would like to understand the process for loaning books or contact us if you have any questions by email to or phone 03 9530 6760.

Sale of Deceased Estates etc

We have a team of experienced philatelists who may be able to assist with the sale of stamp collections from deceased estates. We also have a ready market for collections that are no longer required – nothing is too big or too small!

To speak to us about how we may be able to assist, contact us by email or phone 03 9530 6760.

Displays / Exhibitions

Several of our members are judges in philatelic exhibitions and can provide advice on preparing an entry for exhibition. Beginners are also provided with information on starting a collection.

Exchange (Circuit) Books

Exchange sheets are a “bundled” lot of A4 sheets containing philatelic items for sale by our members. Items for sale are individual or sets of stamps, covers, minisheets etc. and can be a great way to get rid of your unwanted excess items. The sheets provided are collated into books and passed from participating member to member within a “circuit” (close geographical location). We have circuits supporting Melbourne Metro, and Country Victoria (not all locations). All members can participate in this process. To chat to someone about this process, in the first instance please contact us on (03) 9530 6760 or via email to
