Table of Contents WelcomeWelcome to the Brighton Philatelic Society Website. Brighton Philatelic Society is a large Victorian based group of Stamp enthusiasts located in Gardenvale, Melbourne. About the SocietyBrighton Philatelic Society was founded in 1950 and currently has over 330 members throughout Australia and overseas. It is the largest philatelic society in Australia. In 1977 the Society purchased its premises which are situated at 80 Gardenvale Road, Gardenvale in Victoria. The official opening of BRI-PHIL HOUSE was on 6th-7th May, 1978 with a commemorative Postmark and Envelope to celebrate the occasion.
In 1981 the Society became an incorporated body. Brighton Philatelic Society is now Incorporated under the Associations Incorporation Act 1981 (Victoria) Association No. A0023461R AdministrationUnder its Constitution, the business of the Society is managed by an Committee comprising a President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and 10 other members, all of whom are elected every year.
